Assessments

Dennis and Debbi have both used assessments as an integral part of their own coaching practices and believe passionately in the value of assessments in understanding client patterns and drivers.  As a result, they have a developed a line of assessments that is designed specifically for coaches, consultants, mentors and advisors.

 Motivators Assessment

The Coach Academy’s Motivators Assessment is based on the work of Eduard Spranger.  This invaluable assessment identifies the six key values (or attitudes) that motivate people:  Theoretical, Utilitarian, Aesthetic, Societal, Individualistic and Doctrinal.  Coaches and consultants use TCA’s Motivators to get below the surface and understand what really makes a client “tick.”  Whether working with an individual or an organization, understand human motivators is a key to unlocking success!  For a limited time, The Coach Academy is offering their complete Report on understanding and interpreting Motivators at no charge, click HERE for details.

Personality Styles

The Coach Academy’s Personality Styles Assessment is based on the work of William Moulton Marston Ph.D (1893-1947).  Personality Styles, also known as DISC is used to identify the four primary behavioral preferences of individuals in specific situations or environments.    In simple terms, Personality Styles looks at “how” people respond to their environment  This is an invaluable tool for consultants/coaches who are working with teams or organizations and need to get to the root of both the synergies and the potential conflicts or weaknesses of the team.

Key Skills & Abilities Assessment

The KSA Assessment is based on the work of Dr. Robert Hartman in the 1920’s.  This is the science of Axiology, which identifies both the internal and external views of the world for an individual. This enables us to understand and identify which “soft” skills are well developed, as well as those that may need further development or work.  KSA is an excellent tool to use in determining how well suited candidates are to specific jobs; as well as benchmarking top performers within an organization.

 Family Business Traits Assessment

The Family Traits assessment is a behavioral-based tool that is a must-have for anyone working with Family Owned Businesses.  These types of companies are, by their very nature, complex and multi-faceted.  Many have said that working with Family Owned Businesses requires a Masters in psychology and a PhD in patience!  We believe what it takes is a keen understanding of how the family hierarchy intertwines with the business itself.  This assessment shows the individual family member’s role in the business and contrasts it with their role in the family as well as their inherent natural behavioral syle.  It helps the coach and the client understand where there may be conflicts or blind spots, and recommends steps to bring the two roles closer together.  It serves as the springboard for coaching the client towards more effective and productive communications within the Family Owned Business.

Life Path/Career Path Assessment –

The numbers of people in career transition is higher than it has been in decades, and more and more people are turning to career and executive coaches to help them navigate the waters of change.  The Coach Academy has developed a powerful tool for those who are involved in Career or Executive Coaching to help determine the ideal next position or business venture for their clients.  By defining how the person responds to challenges, people, pace and rules in their “world,” we can understand what type of environment and position in which they are most likely to be happy.  Likewise, by understanding what drives a person to take action (their core values,) we gain an understanding of what type of industry they are likely to find fulfilling.  The Life Path/Career Path Assessment will answer these questions, and provides suggestion on how the person can bring their professional life into closer alignment with their own core values and behavioral strengths.
